Selection: Selection Process for Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for Jan 2025 Course

The Indian Navy has announced opportunities for unmarried male and female candidates who meet the nationality criteria specified by the Government of India. They are invited to apply for the four-year B. Tech degree course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, under the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme. This program is designed for both Executive and Technical branches and is scheduled to commence in January 2025.

Initial Shortlisting

Candidates are selected for SSB interviews based on their JEE (Main) 2024 All India Common Rank List (CRL). Applicants are required to provide their JEE (Main) 2024 CRL rank in the application form.

SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews from August 2024 onwards at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam centers. The SSB interview assesses the candidates' personality, intelligence, and suitability for the Indian Navy.

Medical Examination

Candidates declared successful in the SSB interview will undergo a medical examination to assess their physical and mental fitness. Only medically fit candidates will be considered for appointment, subject to police verification, character verification, and availability of vacancies.

Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared based on the SSB marks. Candidates declared medically fit will be appointed as Cadets in the order of merit, based on the number of vacancies available.

It is a scheme that offers a 4-year B.Tech degree course at the Indian Naval Academy for selected candidates.

Candidates should be born between July 2, 2005 and January 1, 2008 (both dates inclusive).

There are a total of 40 vacancies, with a maximum of 12 for female candidates.

Selection involves shortlisting based on JEE (Main) 2024 All India Common Rank List (CRL), followed by SSB interviews and merit list preparation based on SSB marks.

Online applications are invited from July 6 to July 20, 2024.
